Abstract


AN OVERVIEW OF POSTGRADUATE THESES WITHIN THE FIELD OF PRIVATE SECURITY IN TURKEY

The purpose of this study is to examine the postgraduate dissertations prepared in relation to private security according to the year, type, working group, method used, data collection tool, data analysis, sampling number, sampling technique, theses topic and department. The method is the document analysis method. Purposeful sampling technique was used in the study. Data were collected by examining 43 postgraduate dissertations. Data were performed content analysis by giving frequency and percentages. According to the results of the research, most of the theses have been prepared between 2009-2013 years and their level are master theses. Working group was worked more on private securitys, easily attainable method was preferred as the sampling technique and theses sampling number are 201-400 person. Generally, quantitative research types were used as methods in the theses and document scanning was used as data collection tool and descriptive analyzes were used as data analysis. The subject of the theses is generally private security officers. The department where the theses are prepared is the department of business administration
