Suruç district, 45 km southwest of Şanlıurfa province, 400-500 m. elevation values indicate spread. The importance of Suruç is due to the fact that it has always been on the busiest roads from ancient times until today. Being in the middle of the roads between Şanlıurfa and Birecik, as well as being on a parallel line with Harran, made it one of the crossing points. The purpose of the selection of Suruç as a research area is to ensure that its historical importance and commercial value continue to grow today. In recent years, Suruc has become a town whose name is often heard when the Suruc Tunnel opened under the influence of the gap and opened its doors to hundreds of thousands of Syrians who fled the war and came to the border in 2014.
