The purpose of this research is to determine the reasons for the love of the homeland from the perspective of education faculty students. In this way, it is aimed to reach to some extent the reasons for the love of homeland. Participants of this phenomenological research are the students studying at different grade levels and departments in the faculty of education. A total of 210 students participated in the study voluntarily. The research data were obtained with the open-ended question shared on google form and analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. It has been revealed that there are concepts such as gratefulness, loyalty-belonging, independence, past and future. This research has reached the reasons for pre-service teachers' love of homeland. These findings may contribute to the education of students or provide a picture of the love of the homeland.
