Abstract


AN ANALYSIS OF MEHMET EMIN YURDAKUL’S POEMS BASED ON CANONIZED VALUES

This article, based on the poems of Mehmet Emin Yurdakul, known as the “Turkish Poet”, is aimed to evaluate the nationalist literary canon and examine the national perspective that is desired to be formed with the language of poetry. Poetry, which is one of the literary genres, is seen as the means of exportation of consciousness developed in order to be explained by referring to the expression of historical continuity, which is realized with the original nature of social ontological trust. The necessity of local empathy is expressed through the aesthetic interpretation of the way can otic social issues are handled by the foresight that poetry provides for the expression of national identity. It is stated that it aimed to develop a language aimed at reducing the moments of crisis
