The logistics sector is one of the most dynamic sectors in the world. It is the responsibility of the logistics industry to deliver products and services where and when they are requested, without damage, error-free, and in a safe manner. The most important support activity in the production processes, as it carries out the procurement of logistics products as a result of long and difficult processes by taking them from the production stage. Technology is the most influential factor in logistics. Artificial intelligence and blockchain applications in global logistics, which have developed in recent years are effective in reducing time and costs significantly. Developed countries increase their investments in this area and provide significant saving and gains. In developing countries, support problems are experienced due to reasons such as financial inadequacy and lack of technological infrastructure. Today, when world economies and trade volume increase, developed countries have become logistics centers in return for the investments made in the logistics sector. Blockchain and artificial intelligence applications in logistics sector processes have made these countries strong and advantageous. The technological support needed in the logistics sector, which plays a key role in the development of the country’s trade, should be provided and this sector should be brought to the level of international competition and its sustainability in the relevant sectors should be ensured. Considering the contribution of the logistics sector to the country’s economy, incentives and investment support should be provided by establishing inter-institutional cooperation. The use of two complementary technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence in the logistics industry offers new technological infrastructure opportunities. In this research, the progress and activities made for blockchain and artificial intelligence applications in the logistics sector were examined.
